EltaMD Silvergel Antimicrobial Wound Gel is a non-cytotoxic, non-staining, water-soluble gel that provides broad-spectrum antimicrobial protection for high-risk or infected wounds with light to moderate exudate, which includes pus or fluid. It absorbs up to equal its volume of the exudate. Glycerin improves moisture retention, as well as conditions and protects the skin. Silver ions aid in the effectiveness and sustainability of the gel.
Can be used on abrasions, minor burns, superficial cuts, lacerations, and minor irritations.
Inhibits the growth of MRSA, Aspergillus Niger, Pseudomonas Aeruginosa, Candida Albicans, Staphylococcus Aureus, Escherichia Coli, and VRE.
After cleansing, apply a generous amount directly to the affected area. Repeat as necessary, but the gel may be left in the wound for up to 3 days.
